Mental Well-Being Matters in the Workplace
Mental well-being should be at the forefront of all organizations. In the 2022 Mental Health in America report published by Society for Human Resource Management, it was stated that 51% of U.S. workers said that gaining access to more robust workplace resources would help improve their mental health.
Having access to more robust resources is great, but talking about mental health, hosting workshops, and hosting seminars outlining what is actually available to employees is the key. Once employers acknowledge the importance of mental well-being in the workplace and support their employees by providing resources above and beyond referring employees to their benefit department, the more comfortable employees will be in the workplace. That establishment of trust is the foundation to belonging.
